Pulitzer Prize Winners 2011

Winners of the 2011 Pulitzer Prizes for journalism and letters, drama and music were announced yesterday, with The New York Times and the Los Angeles Times receiving two awards each.

The LA Times won the Public Service prize for its investigative report about corruption in Bell, Calif. The Times' Barbara Davidson (pictured) also won for Feature Photography for a series on gang violence.

For the second year in the row, online news site ProPublica won a Pulitzer, this year taking home the award for National Reporting for a Wall Street exposé.

Jennifer Egan's 'A Visit from the Goon Squad' won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction, while 'The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer' by Siddhartha Mukherjee won for General Nonfiction.
