Meredith Vieira Signing Off 'Today'?

Network news shakeups continue as reports indicate Meredith Vieira may step down as 'Today' host when her contract expires in September. This comes days after CBS sources confirmed her predecessor, Katie Couric, will leave 'CBS Evening News' in June.

Vieira reportedly wants to spend more time with her husband, journalist Richard Cohen, who has multiple sclerosis. She joined 'Today' in 2006 after hosting 'The View' for nine years.

When her original contract expired in 2010, Vieira renewed for just one more year.

Who might replace Vieira? Ann Curry has been the 'Today' news anchor since 1997 and seems a natural choice. Many think she was slighted when NBC executives passed her over in favor of Vieira back in 2005.
