Kate Middleton Wedding Dress Details

Kate Middleton has chosen a wedding dress by relatively-unknown British designer Sophie Cranston of Libélula, Huffington Post Royal Correspondent Yvonne York reveals exclusively.

York hinted at her scoop in December but didn't divulge the designer's name until this weekend, citing 'insider sources.' Middleton was spotted in a Libélula silk velvet dress coat in January.

The identity of Middleton's wedding dress designer has been one of the most speculated about royal wedding details as Brits hoped the princess-to-be would choose a homegrown designer. York says it's likely Middleton also has a back-up gown for any unexpected emergencies.

The royal wedding begins Friday, April 29 at 6:00 am on the East Coast (11:00 am in London); many major TV networks will carry the ceremony live.
