michael douglas tumor gone catherine zeta-jonesMichael Douglas' throat cancer is in remission. The Oscar-winning actor told 'Today' that his tumor is 'gone' after weeks of intense radiation and chemotherapy.

Douglas was diagnosed with stage 4 throat cancer in August and says he was honest with his children about the disease and his prognosis. Now, Douglas feels 'good' and 'relieved' that he beat the odds.

Catherine Zeta-Jones was by her husband's side throughout the entire ordeal and cried with joy when she heard that the cancer was in remission. To celebrate his recovery, the Douglas family dined on oysters and toasted with Shirley Temples.

What's next? Smoking and drinking are two of the main causes of throat cancer and Douglas plans to alter his diet to incorporate more organic foods.
