Pro skateboarder Tony Hawk has filed for divorce from his wife, Lhotse Merriam. In a joint statement to People, the couple says, 'We have made the difficult decision to file for divorce.'This will be Hawk's third divorce; he was previously married to Cindy Dunbar and Nancy Drew. Hawk and Merriam have a daughter, Kadence Clover Hawk, born in June 2008; he also has three sons for previous relationships.
The pair's 2006 wedding in Fiji was a beachfront affair that included fellow skater Bam Margera.
The statement continues: 'We remain deeply committed and loving parents to our daughter, and out of respect for that responsibility we ask that people honor our family's privacy during this important time of transition.'
