RIP Mick Jagger Death Hoax On Twitter

Fear not, Rolling Stones fans: frontman Mick Jagger is alive and well despite a death hoax circulating Twitter. Three days after making his Grammys performance debut, Jagger was declared dead thanks to trending topic 'RIP Mick Jagger.'

Jagger is the latest big-name celebrity to have death rumors start on Twitter; Bill Cosby, Aretha Franklin, Justin Bieber and Charlie Sheen have also been the subject of death hoaxes.

Many Twitter users responded to the thread with tweets like, 'RIP Mick Jagger? He's not dead. He just looks like he is.'

The Washington Post says the trend may have started when disc jockey Peter Rosenberg tweeted jokingly about Jagger's Grammys performance: 'wait i thought this was for actual dead people...not the living dead RIP Mick Jagger.'
