Phillies Tickets Go On Sale

Philadelphia Phillies single-game tickets went on sale today but the ticketing process left many fans frustrated by a long wait. Some baseball fans waited outside Citizens Bank Park all night to be first in line when the ticket booth opened at 8:30 am. The wait to buy tickets online stretched over two hours.

The Phillies are expected to be a hot team this year with the return of pitcher Cliff Lee and a starting rotation that includes Roy Halladay, Cole Hamels and Roy Oswalt.

No more than 500,000 tickets were available for the 81-game schedule, which does not include Opening Day or a three-day series against the Boston Red Sox in June. Tickets for those two events are only available through a special online promotion. The Phillies open their season at home on April 1 against the Houston Astros.
