John Galliano Suspended After Arrest

Famed designer John Galliano has been suspended from Dior after being arrested in Paris for an alleged assault during which he spewed anti-Semitic remarks.

Galliano reportedly got into an argument with a couple at an outdoor café in Paris's Marais district last night. The Telegraph (UK) reports that Galliano 'swore heavily, using anti-Jewish insults' before verbally attacking the couple. He was the only person arrested.

British Vogue, however, says the couple actually insulted Galliano after he politely said 'Cheers.' The magazine quotes a witness claiming the designer said nothing anti-Semitic or religious.

Galliano's arrest comes just before Paris Fashion Week, which begins Tuesday. Model Kate Moss recently confirmed Galliano will design her wedding dress.
