This year's wealthiest people have a combined wealth of $4.5 trillion, surpassing Germany's gross domestic product. The United States has the most billionaires with 413, six percent of which are new to the list.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg's net worth jumped 238% last year to $13.5 billion, good enough for 52nd place. Fellow Facebook founders Eduardo Saverin and Dustin Moskovitz are also on the list.
