Miami Heat Crying After Loss?

Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said several players were crying in the locker room after their 87-86 loss to the Chicago Bulls yesterday. He didn't name names but the blogosphere and mainstream media immediately latched onto his comment. The Chicago Sun-Times gleefully put Heat star LeBron James on its back page with the headline 'Crying Game.'

Spoelstra was trying to demonstrate how much his players care about the game but his comments ended up becoming a punchline. Tom Hanks said there was no crying in baseball, but is there no crying in basketball, either?

Chris Bosh got attention last week for wiping away tears during a postgame press conference after the Heat blew a big lead to lose to the Orlando Magic.
